The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Bourne is once again brought out of hiding, this time inadvertently by London-based reporter Simon Ross who is trying to unveil Operation Blackbriar--an upgrade to Project Treadstone--in a series of newspaper columns. Bourne sets up a meeting with Ross and realizes instantly they're being scanned. Information from the reporter stirs a new set of memories, and Bourne must finally, ultimately, uncover his dark past whilst dodging The Company's best efforts in trying to eradicate him.

No Country for Old Men (2007)

In rural Texas, welder and hunter Llewelyn Moss discovers the remains of several drug runners who have all killed each other in an exchange gone violently wrong. Rather than report the discovery to the police, Moss decides to simply take the two million dollars present for himself. This puts the psychopathic killer, Anton Chigurh, on his trail as he dispassionately murders nearly every rival, bystander and even employer in his pursuit of his quarry and the money. As Moss desperately attempts to keep one step ahead, the blood from this hunt begins to flow behind him with relentlessly growing intensity as Chigurh closes in. Meanwhile, the laconic Sherrif Ed Tom Bell blithely oversees the investigation even as he struggles to face the sheer enormity of the crimes he is attempting to thwart.

*殺手Anton Chigurh破門而入的方法真特別.不過,也僅只於喇叭鎖吧,遇到鐵捲門或不繡鋼門就吃不開了.殺手使用的槍也是好大一把,加上其詭異的表情,笑容和"新潮"的髮型,散發出讓人不寒而慄的殺氣!
*在片中的三位主角:警長,拿錢的,殺手,完全沒有交手戲,也沒有同時出現在螢幕上,很不可思議吧!(拿錢的和殺手有在"電話"上交談,呵呵!)
*此片也得了許多大獎,包括2008年的最佳影片;Javier Bardem也因為此片,成為第一位西班牙的奧斯卡得主!
*Javier Bardem在2000年時,曾主演Before Night Falls,而提名最佳男主角,片中飾演古巴詩人兼小說家Reinaldo Arenas,還有Sean Penn呢!(我想這部應該蠻無聊的吧!)
*結尾結得有點莫名其妙!殺手就這樣逃之夭夭?拿錢的太太有被殺掉嗎?警長老是言不及義?只能各憑想像了...

21 (2008)

Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligent, student at M.I.T. in Boston who strives to succeed. Wanting a scholarship to transfer to Harvard School of Medicine with the desire to become a doctor, Ben learns that he cannot afford the $300,000 for the four to five years of school since he comes from a poor, working-class background. But one evening, Ben is introduced by his unorthodox math professor Micky Rosa into a small but secretive club of five. Students Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Fisher, who are being trained by Professor Rosa of the skill of card counting at blackjack. Intriged by the desire to make money, Ben joins his new friends on secret weekend trips to Las Vegas where, using their skills of code talk and hand signals, they have Ben make hundreds of thousands of dollars in winning blackjack at casino after casino. Ben only wants to make enough money for the tuition to Harvard and then back out. But as fellow card counter, Jill Taylor, predicts, Ben becomes corrupted by greed and his arrogance at winning which lets his feelings get in the way, and it also puts Professor Rosa, as well as the group, on the radar of a brutal casino security enforcer, named Cole Williams, who holds a personal grudge of some kind against Rosa which threatens to undo everything the students have learned and earned.

Vantage Point (2008)

President Ashton (William Hurt) is attending a global war on terror summit in Spain. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are two of the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him. This is the first action that Agent Barnes has been in since he took a bullet for President Ashton six-month earlier. We really dont know if Agent Barnes is up to the challenge of protecting the President. Shortly after President Ashton is escorted to the stage in the plaza by the Secret Service, he is immediately shot twice by a rifle from a window and falls to the floor. The crowd is in shock and chaos breaks out all over, especially, when bombs begin to explode. Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker) is an American video-taping the event to show to his children that he was actually there at this historic event. He believes that he has the picture of the man who shot the President. Agent Barnes sees the tape and has a clue to that person. Several different people witness the event, and only through their eyes do we see the truth behind the assassination attempt.

Evan Almighty (2007)

Buffalo newsman Evan Baxter is elected to Congress with the slogan, "Change the world." He lucks into a huge house in a new Virginia suburb. His Capitol office is also fantastic, but there's a catch: he's tapped by the powerful Congressman Long to co-sponsor a bill to allow development in national parks. In steps God, who appears to a disbelieving Evan and gently commands him to build an ark. Tools and wood arrive in Evan's yard, animal pairs follow, his beard and hair grow wildly, nomad's clothes and a staff appear. Long grows impatient, Evan starts building, his family leaves him, reporters gather, and drought grips D.C. Still, Evan believes. But will he change the world?

Ronin (1998)

Ronin is the Japanese word used for Samurai without a master. In this case, the Ronin are outcast specialists of every kind, whose services are available to everyone - for money. Dierdre (undoubtedly from Ireland) hires several Ronin to form a team in order to retrieve an important suitcase from a man who is about to sell it to the Russians. After the mission has been completed successfully, the suitcase immediately gets switched by a member of the team who seems to work into his own pocket. The complex net of everyone tricking everyone begins to surface slowly, and deadly...

Gattaca (1997)

In the not-too-distant future, a less than perfect man wants to travel to the stars. Society has categorized Vincent Freeman as less than suitable given his genetic make-up and he has become one of the underclass of humans that are only useful for menial jobs. To move ahead, he assumes the identity of Jerome Morrow, a perfect genetic specimen who is a paraplegic as a result of a fall. With some professional advice, Vincent learns to deceive DNA and urine sample testing. When a colleague is killed he is finally scheduled for a space mission, but a colleague suspects his origins and the police begin an investigation.

88 Minutes (2007)

Dr. Jack Gramm (Al Pacino) is a renowned forensic psychiatrist and college professor who works with the FBI profiling serial killers. One of his famous trials in which he gave expert testimony was the case of Jon Forster (Neal McDonough) aka "The Seattle Slasher". Jon Forster believed that he was sentenced to death based primarily on Gramm manipulated testimony against him to the jury. The day before Forster is scheduled to be executed; one of Gramm students is killed in Seattle in a "Modus-Operandi" that matches that of the "Seattle Slasher". If the "Seattle Slasher" is still killing women, then Forster must be an innocent man. Gramm believes that this murder is the work of a copycat killer, and he sets out to prove it. When the news hits all the TV channels, Forster asks for a stay of execution. In the meantime, Gramm receives a threatening phone call that tells him that he has only 88 minutes to live. Then another dead woman is discovered who was also killed by the same "MO". Gramm must solve the case before his time (88 minutes) runs out, "TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK".
