The Legend of Zorro (2005)

The Legendary Zorro goes off on another adventure to protect the future of California and its citizens. This time, he fights against evil-doers with the help of his beautiful wife, Elena, and their precocious young son, Joaquin. Alejandro De LaVega is torn between two worlds: his life as Zorro and his life as a family man. After Alejandro once again breaks his promise to stop wearing the mask, Elena leaves him, and soon begins seeing Armand, a haughty French Count. But a mysterious explosion in the desert leads Zorro to believe that there's more to Armand than meets the eye, and our hero is intent on finding out what that is. Little does he know, there are others working to uncover certain truths as well.

Jack Stanfield (Harrison Ford) is a bank's security chief who has designed a computer system & firewall to protect his employer from fraud. The man holding the gun is Cox. When Jack arrives home the motive for the meeting becomes clear: Cox & his gang of violent, psychopathic thieves want Jack to hack through his employer's computer security & transfer $100 million to Cox's bank accounts in the Caymans. Failure to comply means the murder of Jack's family. Stanfield realizes this will implicate him as an embezzler but he complies. However, even after Cox has the money, it becomes obvious that he had no intention of letting anyone live and kidnaps the family to kill them & hide their bodies, leaving one of his henchman to eliminate Jack. When Jack kills the thug who was supposed to kill him, the sociopathic Cox's plans are ruined. Jack must race against time to get his family back before Cox and his fellow thugs carry out their murderous plans.

*好久沒看到這麼"縝密"的犯罪電影耶,幾乎沒有不合理之處!(至少目前還沒有想到...)像是錢到手了,還記得要去把所有"足跡"擦掉;幫Jack製造欠債,與老婆不合的動機~
*不過,也是有一個問題啦,匯出去的錢,還可以在討回來唷?自己的銀行也許還好入侵,但是匯到別人的海外戶頭,可能是別間銀行,有那麼容易可以侵入嗎?
*Paul Bettany演Silas的印象還在,又看到他當壞人啦,他是英國人哦,主演了不少電影,如: Wimbledon (2004)中的Peter;"怒海爭鋒"中拉小提琴的醫生;"厄夜變奏曲"的Tom(這部真的不太好看...);"美麗境界";"騎士風雲錄"等等~

Syriana (2005)

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

Indiana Jones returns again, and again this time, to save the world from the Nazis. In this film, the Nazis have kidnapped Indy's father, Professor Henry Jones, for his diary, which contains maps and first-hand accounts of many of the world's most sacred and hidden items. One of these such items, the Holy Grail, is what the Nazis are after, and is the reason they had kidnapped Prof. Jones and his diary. Indy must then make his way directly into the "lion's den" - Nazi Germany - in order to save his father, his diary, and the Holy Grail - all from the Nazis.

Fun with Dick & Jane (2005)

The day before Globodyne's stock tanks, a la Enron, and its pension fund evaporates, the corporation's CEO and CFO set up middle manager Dick Harper to be the public face of the disaster. Jobless, and with no savings, pension, or home equity, Dick and his wife Jane sink slowly into poverty. He looks for work (as do all former Globodyne executives); he even tries day labor with the relatives of their Mexican nanny. A foreclosure notice sends Dick and Jane over the edge into a life of blue-collar crime. Then, as things finally look up, the report of an looming indictment pushes Dick and Jane toward a denouement with the real criminals, the white-collar guys.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Eminent archaeologist Indiana Jones is back in his 2nd adventure, this time to tackle the great terror surrounding the mysterious Temple of Doom. After crash landing in India, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and companions Short Round (Ke Huy Quan) and Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw) end up in a small distressed village where the residents claim a dark power has stolen their precious stone... and their children! Agreeing to assist the village, Indiana and friends make their way to a nearby palace and enquire further into the strange happenings. Assuring Indiana he has no idea what he's talking about, prime minister Chatter Lal offers them to spend the night in the palace. However, it is that evening that Indiana discovers a secret passage into a booby-trapped temple and stumbles onto something he thought was long extinct. It seems the age old cut of Thuggee cult is attempting to rise once more, believing that with the power of the five Sankara stones they can rule the world. Now, it's up to Indiana to put a stop to the Thuggee campaign, rescue the lost children, win the girl and conquer the Temple of Doom.

Vertigo (1958)

*James Stewart的face總是讓我認不出來,年輕,老成的電影,跳來跳去的看,搞得我頭昏腦脹~
*今天買了七部老片,來看個過癮囉;也有看到Raging Bull (1980)和Ordinary People (1980),只是都是vcd,就沒買啦~

Mean Streets (1973)

The future is set for Tony and Michael - owning a neighbour- hood bar and making deals in the mean streets of New York city's Little Italy. For Charlie, the future is less clearly defined. A small-time hood, he works for his uncle, making collections and reclaiming bad debts. He's probably too nice to succeed. In love with a woman his uncle disapproves of (because of her epilepsy) and a friend of her cousin, Johnny Boy, a near psychotic whose trouble-making threatens them all - he can't reconcile opposing values. A failed attempt to escape (to Brooklyn) moves them all a step closer to a bitter, almost preordained future.

*之後Scorsese和De Niro合作,推出了生涯鉅作: Taxi Driver (1976) & Raging Bull (1980)~
*這部片其實很沈悶,看了3天才看完,還是寧願看世足,呵~

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

Spring 1936. In the thick jungle of the South American continent, a renowned archeologist and expert on the occult is studying fragments of a map, when one of his exploration party pulls a gun. The archeologist pulls out a bullwhip and with such disarms the turncoat, sending him running - thus does Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones stay alive. He and a guide enter a dank and oppressively vast cave that contains several traps created by the ancient race which hid inside a famous handheld statue; Indy barely escapes such traps but is cornered by native tribesmen served by Belloq, an old enemy who arrogantly makes off with the statue, while Indy must flee for his life and escape on a friend's seaplane. Back in the US Indy teaches at The University of Chicago, where two agents from US Army intelligence tell him of Nazi German activities in archeology, including a gigantic excavation site in Egypt - a site that an intercepted cable indicates to Indy is the location of the Ark of the Covenant, the powerful chest bearing the Ten Commandments, that the Nazis can use to obliterate any enemy. Indy must recruit a former girlfriend (the daughter of his old professor) and an old chum in Cairo to infiltrate the Nazi site and make off with the Ark, but along the way Indy gets involved in a series of fights, chases, and traps, before the Nazis learn the full power of the Ark.

Two for the Money (2005)

Brandon Lang loves football: an injury keeps him from the pros, but his quarterback's anticipation makes him a brilliant predictor of games' outcomes. Needing money, he leaves Vegas for Manhattan to work for Walter Abrams advising gamblers. Walter has a doting wife, a young daughter, and a thriving business, but he has problems: a bum heart, a belief he's a master manipulator, and addictions barely kept in check. He remakes Brandon, and a father-son relationship grows. Then, things go awry. Walter may be running a con. The odds against Brandon mount.

*這個卡司是絕對要看的片子,Al Pacino的演技就不用多提了,我非常喜歡他的講話方式,很具有說服力,總讓人無從反駁;Matthew McConaughey實在是帥,身材棒,演起戲來,挺逗趣的?最近一部Failure to Launch (2006)可是必看的溫馨搞笑浪漫愛情喜劇~
*電影一開始,Al Pacino的搶人方式,讓我直接想到The Recruit (2003),更巧的是: Al Pacino在這兩部片子的first name都是Walter~

*劇情挺簡單的,想"從良"的十歲小弟弟Oliver,因為知道了太多的內幕,被軟禁在竊盜集團之巢穴,集團成員擔心事跡敗露,處心積慮想把他給解決掉,所幸貴人相助...算是happy ending囉~
*eat my head...這句話在片中出現兩次...第一次翻成"吃狗屎";第二次翻成"撞牆";也不統一一下~

In Her Shoes (2005)

Two sisters have nothing in common but size 8 ½ feet. Maggie and Rose are both best friends and polar opposites when it comes to values, goals and personal styles. Maggie is a party girl who barely graduated from high school, recycles jobs as quickly as yesterday's newspapers and believes her biggest asset is her attractiveness to the opposite sex. Her recurring state of unemployment leaves her virtually homeless as she bounces between the sofas of her friends and relatives. With no confidence in her intellectual ability, she prizes makeup over books and has innate talent for choosing the perfect accessories and clothes for any occasion. Rose is a Princeton educated attorney at a top law firm in Philadelphia. Her beautifully decorated prewar apartment is her haven from the outside world. With her nose perpetually to the grindstone, she struggles constantly with her weight and never feels comfortable in the clothes she wears. Her low self-esteem regarding her physical appearance has left her dating life non-existent. Rose's one joy in life is shoes (because they always fit), but unfortunately she has few social opportunities to remove them from her closet. After a calamitous falling out, the two sisters travel a bumpy road toward true appreciation for one another--aided along the way by the discovery of the maternal grandmother they thought was dead. *這部電影有趣之處,是除了愛情之外,還有手足,祖孫,朋友之情;把一個人,在生活中可能遇到的種種狀況都涵蓋了~

A History of Violence (2005)

Based on the graphic novel by John Wagner and Vince Locke, A History of Violence is the tale of Tom Stall. Tom is a loving family man and well-respected citizen of a small Indiana town. But when two savage criminals show up at his diner, Tom is forced to take action and thwart the robbery attempt. Suddenly heralded as a hero who took the courage to stand up to crime, people look up to Tom as a man of high moral regard. But all that media attention has the likes of mobsters showing up at his doorstep, charging that Tom is someone else they've been looking for. Is it a case of mistaken identity or does Tom have a history that no one knows about? Either way, someone's about to find out if there's a history of violence.

*演男主角哥哥的William Hurt精湛的演出,讓他提名最佳男配角(出場時間大約只有十分鐘...),他老兄早就以Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985)[蜘蛛女之吻???]獲得最佳男主角啦~
